Winter Reading Program
The library’s winter reading program returns this December! During the winter months, the library runs a winter reading program for children, teens, and adults! Pick up a game sheet for your age group at the library or download one from our website, complete the activities as instructed, and remember to hand it in at the library by the deadline to be entered for a chance to win one of two prizes in your age group’s prize drawing. It’s that easy! Please see the appropriate age group winter reading program details below for complete guidelines specific to your age group. Game sheets will be available beginning Tuesday, December 3, 2024; the deadline to enter the prize drawings is Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
This year’s prizes for Kids’ Edition are an Amazon gift card or a Winter Fun Activity Prize Pack. Prizes for the teens’ and adults’ age groups are a Winter Reading Prize Pack or an Amazon gift card.
Season’s Readings: Kids’ Edition is for children ages pre-school to 12 years old. Pick up a game activity sheet any time during Seasons Readings. Read for at least 20 minutes each week during Season’s Readings—track your reading time on your game sheet. You can read anything—books, magazines, newspapers, or eBooks! The game sheet also includes fun activities to complete and track on the sheet. You can start at any time on or after the start date; however, we ask that only reading completed on or after the start date be counted. When you have completed the game sheet, fill out and detach the prize drawing entry form and hand it in at the circulation desk at the library by the deadline to be eligible for the prize drawings. Read more than the minimum requirements to receive up to three entries in the prize drawings! Most importantly: have fun! No registration required.
Season’s Readings: Tic-Tac-Toe is for teens (ages 13+) and adults (ages 18+). Pick up or download a tic-tac-toe game sheet any time during Seasons Readings. No registration required.
